Broken Water Line Closes Part Of 51st Street In Tulsa

TULSA, OK -- A broken water line has forced the City of Tulsa to close 51st Street between Harvard and Marion Avenues.

The City of Tulsa says the contractor working on the I-44 widening project knocked out a city  water service line Friday afternoon.

To repair the waterline, City of Tulsa Water Distribution personnel will need to close 51st Street between Harvard Avenue and Marion Avenue from 7:30 p.m. Friday until about noon on Saturday.

Businesses in the area will be without water on Friday from 7:30 p.m. until midnight.

Drivers should avoid the area.
