5-Minute Hummus

Time to do some cooking in the kitchen with Sarah Houghton from Southcrest Hospital.

Ingredients:

1 15oz. can chickpeas, rinsed

1 clove garlic

¼ c. olive oil

2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

1 tsp. ground cumin

¼ tsp. paprika

In a food processor, puree the chickpeas and garlic with the olive oil, lemon juice cumin, until smooth and creamy. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons water as necessary to achieve the desired consistency.

Transfer to bowl. Drizzle slightly with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika before serving. Can serve with sliced fresh vegetables like red peppers or carrots or could also serve with pita chips or whole grain crackers.
