OSU Cuts the Ribbon on its Newest Clinic in the Eastgate Metroplex

TULSA---The OSU Center for Health Sciences today cut the ribbon on their newest clinic. Located in the Eastgate Metroplex, the clinic adds an additional health care resource for the residents of East Tulsa.

‘There's a need,' said the Chair of OSU's Department of Family Medicine, Christopher Thurman, D.O., ‘you look at the Medicaid patients that are enrolled that don't actually have a primary care doctor. In those cases those patients have coverage and are not able to avail themselves of that because of a clinic being too far away. The Hispanic population is another subset we're really excited about for this area.'

High traffic and expandability in size were also listed as factors enticing OSU to build the clinic in the Eastgate Metroplex.

The Eastgate Metroplex is located at 14002 East 21st Street in Tulsa.
