Tulsa Police Still Looking For Wrong-Way Driver

TULSA, OK -- Despite the efforts of officers from both the Tulsa and Bixby Police Departments, a person who drove the wrong way on Memorial Drive overnight escaped.

Tulsa Police received a call from Bixby Police early Friday morning concerning a red Jeep going north in the southbound lanes of Memorial.

Bixby Police followed the Jeep until Tulsa police took over the pursuit near 41st Street.

Police say the vehicle turned west on 4th Place and as the Jeep approached Yale, the driver jumped out and the Jeep rolled to a stop at a fence.

A search for the driver was conducted but no one was found.

Police say the Jeep had not been reported stolen.
