NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Nearly three dozen heads were shaved in Norman Tuesday to help raise money for a Chickasha girl battling an aggressive form of cancer.
Two-year old Audri King was diagnosed in April and has already gone through several rounds of chemotherapy. Her uncle said once she's taken care of, he wants to start a non-profit group to help raise awareness of childhood cancer.
"Everybody talks about cancer, but it is faux pas to talk about childhood cancer because it is sad. And people think it won't happen to their family, but it does and that is why we are trying to raise awareness," said Daniel Byard, Audri's uncle.
Organizers said 34 people shaved their head Tuesday.
