Former Skiatook School Superintendent Name Removed From Building

SKIATOOK, OK -- A day after the Skiatook School board voted to accept the resignation of its suspended school superintendent, crews removed his name from a school building.

Tuesday morning, a crew removed the name of Dr. Gary Johnson from the school district's activity center. On Monday, the school board accepted the resignation of Dr. Johnson.

Dr. Johnson came under fire after a state audit revealed Skiatook schools wasted half a million dollars on overpriced goods and services.

School officials say the center will be named to the Skiatook Multi-Purpose Activity Center.
