OKLAHOMA CITY -- A family said the man arrested for their grandson's murder will likely not face a jury and worry he is about to walk free.

Oklahoma City University student 19-year-old Bradley Wahnee was shot to death outside his friend's home last September.

Oklahoma City police arrested Saul Becerra, Jr. in connection with Wahnee's death, but Wahnee's grandparents said an assistant district attorney told them the officer who interrogated Becerra did not read him his rights, and for that he'll be able to walk.

Bradley's grandmother, Geneva Foote, said she feels the justice system let their family down.

"Our only hope that we held out for was that justice would be there for Bradley. It has been a very hard eight months for us, and now knowing that the person that was arrested is going to be let loose on the street is very hard for us to understand and very hard for us to accept," Foote said.

Wahnee's grandparents said they were told Becerra could still face charges, but they doubt that will actually happen. They said they were given a box of their grandson's belongings from the day he died.

The District Attorney's office said they could not comment on this case until Friday. The Oklahoma City Police Department could not be reached for comment.
