MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- Memorial Day will have extra meaning this year for 150 Airmen stationed at Tinker Air Force Base.

The airmen from the 552nd Air Control Wing returned home Thursday after serving in the Middle East for the past four months. They were deployed to the United Arab Emirates in support of on-going operations in Afghanistan.

One of the commanders said Oklahoma should be very proud of these airmen. He said they did a great job and their mission overseas and they are happy to be returning safely to their friends and families.
