A Sand Springs man is in critical condition at a Tulsa hospital following a jet ski accident on Keystone Lake.

PAWNEE COUNTY -- A Sand Springs man is in critical condition at a Tulsa hospital following a jet ski accident on Keystone Lake over the holiday weekend.

The accident occurred at about 3:35 p.m. Sunday on the Cimarron River on the north side of Houseboat Island on Keystone Lake in Pawnee County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports the victim is 20-year-old Donald Lee Tuttle. Tuttle was jumping waves behind a cabin cruiser, lost control and crashed, according to OHP. Tuttle was unconscious, face down in the water for an undetermined amount of time before being pulled from the water by onlookers and CPR was performed, OHP reports.

The victim was transported to a Tulsa hospital by Life Flight. According to OHP, he is in critical condition with unknown internal injuries.

OHP reports there was an odor of an alcoholic beverage on the victim. The cause of the collision is reckless operation of personal watercraft, according to OHP.
