Saying 'Thank You' To Men And Women In The Military

Many times, we find it hard to approach a member of the military in uniform in the mall, airport or on the street to say thank you.

gratitudecampaign.org

TULSA, OK -- If you ever wanted to thank a member of the U.S. military but were too shy, there's a way to do it without saying a word.

According to founder Scott Truitt, the web site gratitudecampaign.org is helping Americans say "thank you" and keep politics out of it.

The web site shows how to use American Sign Language [http://www.aslta.org] to say "thank you." It's a simple gesture that carries a lot of symbolism. Place the palm of your right hand in the center of your chest, then move the hand down and away from your chest.

With special sections like Homefront, Oklahomans On The War Front and Fallen Heroes, NewsOn6.com has made it a point to highlight the service of Oklahoma's military members, as well as the sacrifices of their families.

We think it's appropriate to add a link to the gratitudecampaign.org website.
