Tulsa Soldier Makes Appearance In Military Court On Rape Charges

FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- A Fort Bragg soldier accused of rape and break-ins both on and off the North Carolina post was arraigned in an Army post courtroom on Wednesday.

Twenty-two-year-old Aaron Pernell of Tulsa was arrested in February.

The military charged Pernell with two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, one count of assault consummated by battery, two counts of burglary and one count of housebreaking.

Pernell is also facing additional charges in the Fayetteville area.

If he is convicted on the military charges, Pernell could face live in a military prison.
