TULSA, OK – Running back Charles Opeseyitan was dismissed from the University of Tulsa football team on Monday, according to a news release from the school.

The school says Opeseyitan was dismissed for violating team rules.

According to the police report, Opeseyitan forced his way into an apartment belonging to his ex-girlfriend near the University of Tulsa campus.  Police say Opeseyitan assaulted the woman and got into an altercation with her boyfriend before leaving the apartment.

Opeseyitan was arrested Sunday and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of domestic assault and battery, breaking and entering, and malicious injury to property.

In his two-year career for the Golden Hurricane, Opeseyitan played in 23 games, gained 573 yards, and had four touchdowns.
