Man Drowns After Jumping off Jet Ski Trying to Save Dog

FORT SUPPLY, Oklahoma  -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a man drowned at Ft. Supply Lake while trying to save his dog Tuesday.

Police said the man's dog was riding on a jet ski with him when it jumped off. The 28-year-old jumped into the water after the dog, but he never resurfaced. He was not wearing a life jacket.

The dog made it to shore and is said to be doing fine.

The man's body has not been recovered. His identity has not been released.
