TULSA, OK – The News On 6 has obtained surveillance video of a robber who was so quiet about his crime, that customers standing in line right next to him, didn't even know he'd robbed the store, until after he left and police showed up.

"It's so weird," Melinda said.

Melinda is talking about being at a Walgreens during a robbery this week. She watched the surveillance video of the suspect, a man in a white OU hat.

The suspect walked into the 31st and Harvard Walgreens on Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. He went to wait in line at the pharmacy, like any other customer.

Then, he got out of line and sat in a chair. It appeared he was waiting for other customers to get their prescriptions and leave.

Once he was the only one around, he approaches the counter and hands the clerk a note asking for prescription drugs and that if he didn't get the drugs, he would start shooting. Moments later, the clerk comes back with a bag of drugs.  The suspect takes it and leaves.

That's about the time Melinda walked up to the pharmacy to fill a prescription.

"We were in line behind her," she said.

The pharmacy employees had closed the blinds and moved to the back and the customers weren't sure what was going on. So Melinda went to the front of the store to ask and that's when police arrived.

"They said okay, everybody stay here, lock the doors, stay where you are, don't move, and went all over the store looking for him," she said.

That's when they figured there'd been a robbery.  Melinda started looking for a place to take cover, just in the case the robber was still in the store, but, as this surveillance video shows, he left moments after getting his drugs.

Melinda finds the whole experience a little unsettling.

"It does make you want to be more vigilant around you," she said. "To know what's going on."

Police hope someone remembers talking to this robber or someone recognizes him and will turn him in before he tries this again.

Anyone with information about this robbery can call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS. The calls are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.
