Oklahoma Children Talk With Astronaut On Board International Space Station

KINGSTON, OK -- Kids at an Oklahoma camp are getting an out-of-this-world education. Students in the tiny town of Kingston near the Texas state line chatted with an astronaut in outer space.

The kids took turns quizzing astronaut Doug Wheelock who's on board the International Space Station.

Adults also packed the auditorium to hear the spaceman's answers.

"They were talking about how their trash burns up in the atmosphere after they're done with it. Just things that I would never even have thought about," Morgan Garrison, a student, said.

All the students at the kids' camp have chronic or life-threatening diseases.
