Passenger Killed In Tulsa County Traffic Accident Wednesday

OWASSO, OK -- An elderly Bartlesville woman is dead after the car she was in was struck broadside by a pickup truck in a Wednesday evening accident.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday at 106th Street North and Sheridan in Owasso.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol say 86-year-old Mary Kitchens was in a car with two other people, heading west on 106th Street North.

OHP troopers say the car failed to yield at a stop sign at Sheridan and was struck by a pickup truck heading north on Sheridan.

Kitchens was taken to a Tulsa hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The other two people in her car were also taking to the hospital but are expected to be okay.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
