OKLAHOMA CITY -- A state worker accused of beating another driver in a road rage incident near the state Capitol is scheduled to appear in court next month.

The Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office has filed aggravated assault and battery charges against Keith Everett Martin.

Martin, 38, is accused of repeatedly punching Steve Leisinger after the two of them got into an argument on the Lincoln Avenue on-ramp from N.E. 23rd Street.

Witnesses said Martin continued assaulting Leisinger even after he was on the ground and unconscious. Martin then reportedly went to his job at the Department of Transportation in a blood-stained shirt.

Martin has declined to comment on the case.

He's scheduled to be in court September 30 for a preliminary hearing.
