TULSA, OK -- Police had to awaken a sleeping burglary suspect after they found him in the courtyard of a Tulsa school late Tuesday night.

Tulsa Police were sent to Patrick Henry Elementary School at 3820 East 41st Street at 10:25 p.m. about a possible burglary in progress.

When officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Stephen Regnier asleep.

Officers did a records check and found out Regnier had several outstanding warrants.

They also found a white shopping bag containing tobacco products.

Early Tuesday morning, Tulsa Police responded to a burglary of a Drug Warehouse in the 3100 block of South Harvard.

Using surveillance video from that burglary, officers recognized Regnier as the same person in the video.
