Oklahoma Governor Candidates Jari Askins, Mary Fallin to Debate

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma gubernatorial candidates Jari Askins and Mary Fallin have agreed to two presidential-style campaign debates.

The first debate will be sponsored and hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma on Tuesday, October 19. The Tulsa Metro Chamber will sponsor the second debate on Thursday, October 28 on the campus of Oklahoma State University-Tulsa. Both debates will begin at 7:00 p.m. and last for one hour.

Details on the format and production of each debate will be announced at a later time and are to be determined by the debate sponsors.

The winner of the November 2 general election will succeed Gov. Brad Henry, who cannot seek re-election due to term limits.
