TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- The first day of school was a ball for students at two Tulsa middle schools Monday, thanks to a visit from members of the University Of Tulsa soccer teams.

Coaches and players spoke to students at Cleveland and Wilson Middle Schools, encouraging them to do well in school.

The outreach is part of TU's True Blue Neighbors program which provides support to neighborhoods near campus.

"More than anything else, we want to get the students on our campus, familiarize them with what goes on at college and have them set college as a goal." Steadman Upham, TU President:

TU also invited the students to attend men and women's soccer games for free. Their ticket was a True Blue fan t-shirt.
