TULSA, OK -- An anonymous tip led Tulsa Police to Ronald Buckley, a suspect in a series of robberies that include check cashing businesses and a Super 8 Motel. Two suspects, Rodney Walker and Cheetara Venable, were already in custody for these crimes.

Buckley, 24, was arrested without incident in the 9000 block of E. 48th Place after a tip to the Robbery Tip Line.

According to Sgt. David Walker with the Tulsa Police Robbery Unit, the trio's crimes began with the Super 8 Motel at 3211 S. 79th East Avenue in July of 2010. Buckley is being question in connection with several check cash business armed robberies in July and August.

The Tulsa County District Attorney's office had issued felony warrants with a total bond of more than $200,000 for Buckley's arrest.

"This will bring closure to this crime spree by Buckley, Walker and Venable," Walker said.

The Police Department is continuing to investigate the series of robberies, questioning other suspects about their knowledge of the crimes.
