Battle Of The Boats At Muskogee's Three Forks Harbor

MUSKOGEE, OK -- The 3rd Annual River Rumba and Cardboard Boat Regatta was held Saturday at the Three Forks Harbor in Muskogee. 

The race gets bigger, better and more creative every year. 

Forty teams made up of businesses, schools and kids groups raced against the clock for the best time. If they fail, they could still win prizes for the most spectacular sinking or the best boat theme. 

What's the secret to a successful boat?

"Lots of cardboard, layers of cardboard and good glue and tape and something to seal it up with, paint, lacquer, whatever," said Mark Wilkerson, Muskogee Parks & Recreation.

The event is a fundraiser for several children's charities and the organizers hoped to raise $10,000.
