TULSA, OK---University of Tulsa student Nicole Frangione's photo exhibit ‘I am Tulsa Too' was just the type of artwork Tulsa International Airport was had been looking for.
‘A lot of airports are really getting into the whole art aspect and we want to do the same thing,' said Ken Busby, Chairman if Tulsa International Airport's Cultural Advisory Board, ‘it's a way to sort of signify that there's something important happening here, so we really hope to expand the art presence and the aesthetic presence of the airport to the community.'
Photos and accompanying stories of Tulsa business people greet travelers to Tulsa at the baggage claim area and TIA officials hope to soon expand the locally produced artworks throughout the facility.
‘Tulsans really love their city and really respect this place,' said Frangione, ‘for the history that is has and for the future that it can bring, it's really important to recognize the people who are holding up the ladder so the city can grow.'
