OKLAHOMA CITY -- According to a new list, many people in Oklahoma City counted drinking alcohol as one of their favorite pastimes.
Men's Health Magazine ranked Oklahoma City as the 31st drunkest in the nation out of 100 cities. The magazine used several factors to determine which cities made the list, including:
• Deaths from alcohol-related liver disease
• Deaths in DUI-related crashes
• DUI arrests
• Most binge drinking
• Least stringent DUI laws
Fresno, Calif., ranked number one on the list. It had the second-highest number of deaths from liver disease in the country, and 16th highest number of deaths in DUI-related crashes. The top five drunkest cities in the U.S. were:
1. Fresno, Calif.
2. Reno, Nev.
3. Billings, Mont.
4. Riverside, Calif.
5. Austin, Texas
