TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- A Tulsa company is helping Sooner athletes stay safe on the gridiron. Invisible Bracelet has partnered with the University of Oklahoma to provide a unique way for doctors and trainers to know vital information about the football players.

When the Sooners take the field they're wearing state of the art equipment to prevent injury. This Saturday when OU meets Florida State the players will be adding a special tag called the ICEDOT.

"And so the name is really derived from ICE, or in case of emergency, DOT," said Noah Roberts, CEO of the Tulsa-based Invisible Bracelet.

Roberts spent three years developing the ICEDOT. It's a silver dollar sized tag that allows medics and doctors access to your emergency information.

"It's allergies, meds, major conditions, do you have a doctor, do you have insurance, and your emergency contacts," Roberts said.

Roberts and OU teamed up to find a way for trainers and other medical personnel to get vital information in case a player is knocked out or in a lot of pain.

"If the player's injured get the access to the information, let everyone know instantly - spend that time holding their hand, taking care of the patient not scrambling for information," Roberts said.

For the past week OU football players have been wearing an ICEDOT on their practice jerseys. This weekend the same information will be sewn underneath their jerseys.

The ICEDOT isn't just for college athletes.

"And simply you slide it on the inside and it snaps on,"

Roberts says it's good for runners, senior citizens, Little Leaguers - anyone who doesn't carry ID with them while exercising.

"If the football team can do this, my mom can put it on her walking jacket," said Noah Roberts, CEO of Invisible Bracelet.

So come Saturday another bit of Oklahoma ingenuity will make its debut on a national stage.

Invisible Bracelet is talking with other major colleges about using the ICEDOT.
