OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma County prosecutors and a suspect in six homicides have reached a plea deal in which he is to help find the body of his missing wife.

Sixty-two-year-old Ervin McCoy is charged with first-degree murder in just one death -- the 2004 shooting death of co-worker Alex Tom Record.

The Oklahoman reported McCoy will be given a 30-year prison term in the Record case if the remains of Vickie Peters -- his missing wife -- are found. McCoy has led authorities to a wooded area northeast of Oklahoma City in the search.

Prosecutors say the deal is off if her body is not found.

McCoy's murder trial in Record's death is to start in January and prosecutors have said they would seek the death penalty.

Peters disappeared shortly after she and McCoy separated in 2004.
