OKLAHOMA CITY -- A metro woman faces serious charges after she tried to confront her son's middle school teacher for giving him a failing grade.

According to a police report, 30-year-old Lurekia Lennette Herron brought her son to Webster Middle School, went to the main office and asked to speak with his teacher. Herron was told she could not see the teacher.

She then asked her son to take her to his teacher's classroom. The principal stopped Herron and asked her to leave. When she refused to leave, on-campus police arrived and had a physical altercation with Herron which resulted in her arrest.

Herron was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on Sept. 8 on complaints of trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

No injuries were reported.
