TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa group held an arresting public event Thursday night before the Tom Petty concert in downtown Tulsa to raise awareness of child trafficking.

People taking part in "Freeze! For Stop Child Trafficking Now" became unmoving statues outside the BOK Center at about 6:50 p.m. Volunteers held a pose for a five minutes to bring attention to the cause of ending child trafficking.

Child trafficking is the buying or selling or a child to use in prostitution or exploit in other ways such as migrant work.

UNICEF values the global market of child trafficking at over $12 billion a year with over 2.5 million child victims, according to Stop Child Trafficking Now.

Anyone was invited to take part in the freeze.
