COWETA, OK -- High School football is going high tech in Green Country.  This season, fans of the Coweta Tigers can have the best seat in the house without ever leaving the house.

Coweta is now streaming it's football games live on the web using GameView TV. It's free for fans and all you need is a computer with access to the Internet.

Friday night is now the busiest part of the week for Joshua Stokes. Stokes created GameView TV, a broadband network for live sports programming, because other platforms didn't cater to high schools.

"I myself love going to ESPN3.com and watch a college game I couldn't catch. But you can't really do that for high school," Stokes said.

Naturally, the Coweta resident launched the idea using the Coweta Tigers.

"On the road, home, both," he said. "During the live broadcast you can tune in and then view it all season long."

Stokes donated his service, free of charge to the Coweta booster club to broadcast all Coweta sports and fans are watching.

"Arizona, California, Michigan, people are tuning in from all over," he said. "Grandpa and grandma, cousins can't be here, now they can tune in."

Want to watch the game on the go? There's an app for that!

And Stokes incorporates interviews with the head coach into pre-game coverage and in-game sponsorships by local businesses.

Lloyd Calvert was sold after game one.

"I loved it and since then, we're advertising on it now this week and for the rest of the year, so pretty impressive," Calvert said.

Stokes is still working on the pricing details and has big plans for the future.

"Every high school in Oklahoma, every high school nationwide," Stokes said.

Meanwhile, more viewers are tuning in each week. The first game had 45 viewers, now there's nearly 200 a game and counting.
