NORMAN, Oklahoma -- In Norman, a lot of people are getting ready for the big game Saturday against the Texas Longhorns, including an OU professor who lives, breathes and bleeds Texas football.
Associate Professor Kevin Kloesel teaches in the School of Meteorology. He may educate Sooners, but he's always been a loyal Longhorn.
"I come by my Longhorn roots from birth," Kloesel said. "My family is Austin. My dad went to the University of Texas. I was going to games since before I could walk."
Over the years, Kloesel's colleagues and students have learned to tolerate his love for UT. But when the Red River Rivalry rolls around each year, that toleration is tested.
"When I first got here, I had so many Longhorn decals on my vehicle that as people were going by I had to explain to my daughter that the middle finger was not the OU hand sign," Kloesel said.
