Sand Springs Student Arrested For Bringing Knife, Making Threats On School Bus

A student at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs was arrested Tuesday morning after he bought a knife on a school bus and was threatening other students, according to Sand Springs Police.

SAND SPRINGS – A student at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs was arrested Tuesday morning after he bought a knife on a school bus and was threatening other students, according to Sand Springs Police.

Sand Springs Assistant Chief Mike Carter said the suspect made threats that included "cutting and killing" other students. When confronted about bringing the knife on the bus, Carter said the suspect told police he was upset.

The student was taken to the Tulsa County Juvenile Detention Center. He is facing charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and unlawfulness on school grounds, according to Sand Springs Police.

Carter said the 17-year-old student is a junior at Charles Page High School. His name has not been released.

No one was injured in the incident.
