TULSA, Oklahoma -- Friday, October 8th, was the red carpet event for a movie shot here in Tulsa. The film, "A Christmas Snow," takes a look at a woman who's not a big fan of Christmas.

She's had some issues in the past that she must now deal with as she finds herself in the middle of a blizzard.

Earlier this year, I had the chance to stop by the set and get a behind the scenes glimpse at the shooting of "A Christmas Snow."

It was a cold February morning when we caught up with the cast and crew of the new movie "A Christmas Snow." At 3:00 in the morning, the crew had been working all day and into the night. This final shoot was at the bus station in downtown Tulsa, and everyone was ready to wrap it up.

Tulsa filmmaker Tracy Trost was excited about shooting here despite a few technical glitches.

"The camera just shut down and we're shooting on the red camera which is a fantastic camera but again like anything else, it's a computer with a lens on it, so sometimes it just decides it wants to turn off," said director Tracy Trost from Trost Moving Pictures.

LeAnn Taylor: "Does it get frustrating?"

Tracy Trost: "Its does, but the alternative, if I was shooting on film, I wouldn't get to see this in this quality. I'd have to send it off to process and hope that I got what I got and not know for a couple of days to see my scenes where while we're shooting on the red, as we're shooting things, we're handing hard drives off to our digital media guy and he's actually cutting scenes. So at the end of the day I'm seeing scenes cut to know what I've got. Do I have the coverage I need or don't I have it. So it's fantastic that way. So they're ready to go so we'll get it going again. All right."

Trost is hoping to make more films in Oklahoma bringing actors like Catherine Mary Stewart to our state.

It was a fantastic experience. Everyone was so wonderful. We're all like lifelong friends now. Tracy Trost and I were sort of conspirators in this whole thing. It's been just a wonderful experience.

LeAnne Taylor: "Everybody thinks of television and movies being glamorous. Here we are at 4:00 in the morning, and it's 25 degrees outside and that doesn't include wind chill. How do you keep that level up?"

Catherine Mary Stewart, actress: "You get sort of on a high when you're acting. You're so into the character, and you're working with some really inspiring people - but I'm telling you last night, tonight we spent most the time in the car and we're able to turn it on between takes. Last night we were outside a lot. We froze. I was dressed like this and I have layers of clothes underneath, but this is not clothing for this weather. We froze. I was trying to do my lines outside and I was - and poor Muse was - lying on the ground freezing to death. It was unbelievable, but you know, as you're shooting it's not that glamorous sometimes - but it's not a bad business to be in, I have to say."

The movie is now available on DVD at most book stores and Walmart. For more information, check out their website.

Friday night is the red carpet premiere. It's already sold out but we'll be there. You see, I have a little cameo appearance in the film.
