TULSA, Oklahoma -- A 26-year-old Tulsa man is in the county jail after Tulsa Police were sent to an apartment in the 2000 block of East Archer Street Sunday night because of suspicious banging coming from the apartment.

Officers arrived shortly before 9:40 p.m.

When they knocked on the door and the door opened, officers smelled what they described as an active meth lab.

Tulsa Police took two of three suspects in the apartment into custody.

A third man, identified as James Barrett stayed inside.

After getting additional help, officers arrested Barrett after finding him hidden in a closet.

A meth lab was found in the apartment's bathroom.

Barrett was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of destroying evidence, resisting arrest, endeavoring to manufacture and breaking and entering.
