MOORE, Oklahoma -- The Cleveland County district attorney filed a murder charge Wednesday morning against 18-year-old Raymond McMasters in the death of 19-year-old Josephine Fransisco-Herrera.

Francsisco-Herrera was found stabbed to death on October 13 in a home in Moore owned by McMasters' father. McMasters himself had been stabbed several times and his throat had been cut. He was taken to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center for surgery and was originally listed in critical condition. McMasters had called 911 the day of the incident and said a woman had been killed and he had been injured.

"We believe that what he was doing was trying to build a story to claim that he was a victim also, so they were self-inflicted wounds," Assistant District Attorney David Brockmann said.

News 9 has also learned that McMasters and Fransisco-Herrera had attended the same high school in Okinawa and had gotten reacquainted in Oklahoma recently.

McMasters was booked into the Cleveland County jail on a first-degree murder charge.

A judge has set McMasters' bond at one million dollars.
