UNDATED -- The midterm elections are next Tuesday, November 2, 2010, but in-person absentee voting is now underway across Oklahoma.

Voters can visit their county's election board office on Saturday and Monday for in-person absentee ballot.

County election board offices are open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax says the buzz surrounding the governor's race, other open seats and almost a dozen state questions should boost voter turnout.

Voter turnout topped 50 percent in 1994 and 2002, the last two times the governor's seat was open, and Ziriax says he expects 50 percent again "or a little higher."
