OHP Warns Of Deer Danger While Driving After Dark

ROGERS COUNTY, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to watch for deer after a woman totals her car early Tuesday morning east of Tulsa.

Troopers tell the News On6, the woman was driving on I-44 in Rogers County around 1 a.m. when the deer jumped in front of her car.

The driver wasn't able to stop in time and hit the animal.

The woman was not hurt, but the deer was killed.

OHP troopers say during this time of year, drivers need to be especially careful when traveling near dark wooded areas.
