NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Two children were killed and three adults were injured in an early morning house fire in Norman, according to family members.

Firefighters said they were called out to the fire at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday to a home at 905 N. Cockrel Avenue. Firefighters said three adults and two children were taken to a local hospital to be treated.

Family members said the children, 2-year-old Savry Larkins and 7-year-old Michael Larkins, were later pronounced dead.

Bill and Oley Thornton lived in the house with the other five people and said they were out delivering papers and returned to find the road blocked by police and the house on fire.

Oley's brother Jim Larkins lives across the street and said he was awakened by 22-year-old Amber Larkins pounding on the door.  He said she was covered with blood from breaking out through a window at the burning house.

"All she did was point," Jim Larkins said. "And I looked across the street and called 911 because the center of the house there was already covered in flame."

A Integris spokesperson said Amber Larkins, 46-year-old Kelly Larkins and 19-year-old Daniel Larkins were all transported to Integris Hospital in critical condition.

The Integris spokesperson said Amber Larkins was pregnant and doctors at Norman Regional were forced to perform a C-Section Tuesday morning before Amber was transported to Integris Baptist Hospital. The child is expected to be fine.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
