Serial Kidnapping, Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested In OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police have arrested a man suspected of being a serial child predator.

According to police, officers arrested David Brian Morgan, a 52-year-old married man from  Edmond, Thursday morning for the kidnappings and sexual assaults of three young girls.

Oklahoma City police spokesperson Jennifer Wardlow said officers organized a special task force two weeks ago to track down the man. Following a tip, officers went to an Oklahoma City car wash to check for the suspect.

"The reason for this was that one of the victims in one particular case had reported that the suspect was possibly wearing a shirt with a car wash logo on it," said Wardlow. "It was very, very good work by this detective to remember that and to go in there to follow up on this tip that they had."

Morgan left his place of business voluntarily with officers to be questioned downtown. After being interviewed, Morgan was placed under arrest. Police also obtained warrants on Morgan's home and vehicle.

Police said Morgan may be connected to three kidnappings and assaults in the Oklahoma City area. The first occurred in April when a 12-year-old girl was abducted near N.W. 16th Street and Klein. She was sexually assaulted and dropped off back at her home.

An 11-year-old girl was kidnapped at gunpoint September 29 near S.W. 59th Street and Blackwelder. The suspect in that case also sexually assaulted the girl then released her. A month later on October 28, another 12-year-old girl was abducted while walking to school in the 2800 block of Brookline. She was also assaulted and released.

Police released three sketches connected to the kidnappings and abductions. One sketch had distinct facial markings that Morgan also has. 

Morgan was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of kidnapping, lewd acts with a child and forcible sodomy.
