TULSA, Oklahoma – Dozens of people braved a cold and rainy Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning to stake their place in line at Tulsa's new Chick-Fil-A restaurant.

The new restaurant, located in the Tulsa Hills Shopping Center at 71st Street and Highway 75, opened at 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

The first 100 adults in line at the new location won a one-year supply of free Chick-Fil-A meals.

"I doubt anyone has as much fun with their customers as I do at these First 100 camp outs," said Dan T. Cathy, President and COO, Chick-fil-A, Incorporated. "From nugget parties and dance contests to basketball games and karaoke, we turn them into all-night parties.

The News On 6 talked with two who waited in line for the free meals.

"I've been here since six o'clock about, maybe a little bit earlier than that, about 5:40 maybe, yeah 5:40, 5:45," said Tyler Williams.

"It's been a lot of fun.  I really enjoy it.  I really like Chick-fil-A and 52 free combo meals is something I couldn't pass up," said Michael Phelps.

The new restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Chick-Fil-A plans to open 78 new locations around the country this year.
