OKLAHOMA CITY -- A woman used the Internet to track down the man suspected of stealing her purse and her tickets to the OU - Texas Tech game.
Someone broke into the woman's car November 11 and took her purse. Inside were her OU season tickets. The next day, the woman decided to search Craigslist for the stolen tickets. When she found them for sale, she called police.
Oklahoma City police officers called the number listed in the Craigslist ad and set up a meeting with the man who claimed to own the tickets.
They arranged to meet Marcus Thomas at a convenience store. When he arrived and showed undercover officers the stolen tickets, he was arrested. They then went to his apartment where they found the victim's purse. Thomas' girlfriend told police he'd given it to her earlier that morning.
Officers arrested Thomas on a complaint of receiving and concealing stolen property. The stolen tickets and purse were returned to their rightful owner.
Police also arrested James Catt, a second man they found at the apartment when they discovered he had two warrants out for his arrest.
