TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Thanksgiving travel rush is underway.

Thursday is supposed to be national opt-out day at airports around the country.  Several groups are asking people to refuse the full body scans and take the pat down instead, in an effort to show how slow the process can be.

News On 6 checked with passengers flying through Tulsa to find out how they feel about the issue.

"I'd be more uncomfortable, if they had to be pat down," said Melissa Roberds. "Going through the body scanners is no problem, she's done it a couple of times and thinks it's kind of fun."

"I'm happy for all those people that refuse to go through the machine to go through the pat-down, so I can go through the machine quicker," Mike Howard said.
