TULSA, Oklahoma --  Tulsa Police and Fire are cleaning up a multi-vehicle wreck on U.S. Highway 169 at 61st Street South.

Police say two vehicles crashed on 169 at the bridge over 61st Street.  A short time later, an Emergency Medical Services Plus ambulance out of Broken Arrow rear-ended a vehicle at the accident scene.  That caused a chain reaction crash involving 3 additional vehicles.

One of those vehicles rolled over, blocking the northbound lanes of 169. EMSA says three people were taken to a Tulsa hospital.  Four other people at the crash scene refused treatment.

The wreck shut down northbound traffic on 169 for about 30 minutes causing a massive backup.

An investigation into the two wrecks continues.
