SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Money Saving Queen Sarah Roe will hold a special workshop in Sand Springs Saturday to tell her story and share techniques for stretching family dollars. The coupon workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Clyde Boyd Middle School Auditorium.

Learn how to save money on grocery bills and other bargain shopping techniques that can have a last impact on individual and family budgets.

The program is sponsored by the Church That Matters as their "Christmas gift to Sand Springs." There will also be a $1,000 Christmas Shopping Spree Giveaway for participants who live in Sand Springs. Door prizes and other fun stuff will be offered for everyone in attendance.

"This is the church's way of giving back to a community that has been hard hit by the economy," Roe said Friday. About 500 people are registered for the free event.

The church has announced that their childcare facility is full, so if families are not already signed up for childcare, they will have to make other arrangements.

Clyde Boyd Middle School is located at 305 West 35th Street.
