Driver Injured In Keystone Expressway Wreck

A man lost control of his pickup on westbound U.S. Highway 51, the Keystone Expressway, at the 41st West Avenue bridge in Tulsa.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- An overnight accident injured one man after he lost control of his pickup on westbound U.S. Highway 51. The accident took place at about 3:10 a.m. Sunday at the 41st West Avenue bridge.

The driver lost control of his vehicle, first hitting the cable guard in the center lane of the Keystone Expressway. The truck came off the cable guard then hit barrels in front of the bridge support at the 41st West Avenue bridge. The truck rolled onto the driver's side and wedged between the cables and the bridge support.

The driver was pinned in the badly damaged vehicle. He was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to recover.
