TULSA, Oklahoma -- Residents at Creekside Apartments near 39th and Garnett were displaced after a fire at their complex early Thursday morning.

Tulsa Fire responded just after 1 a.m. to the complex.

Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the wall inside one of the apartments.

As a precaution, firefighters evacuated all 16 apartments in the complex.

Eight of the apartments received smoke and water damage and eight others had the power shut off because of a water line break.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents with lodging, meals and clothing.
