UNDATED -- This time of year, Christmas decorations catch a lot of people's eyes. But another kind of display in Green Country is quite an eye catcher, seen only from above, until now.

On Rembrandt lane near Keystone Lake, the top of Dale Biby's barn is his canvas.

"There are a lot of countries that don't have what we have here," Biby said.

It's easy to see Biby's love of his country, with his American flag flying. What's harder to see, at least from the ground, is another patriotic tribute 14 feet up.

"I'm very proud of it," he said. And he should be. We all should be.

Biby painted a giant American flag on top of his barn. It's 30 feet by 50 feet. The Stripes are 27 inches wide.

"It was all on my knees, I did it all with rollers," Biby said.

The red, white and blue is always impressive, no matter the size. But it's really impressive seeing aerial photos of the flag that took Biby several weeks to paint.

Biby says he's always appreciated what you can see from the sky that you can't see from the ground. That combined with his love for his country, led to his patriotic tribute.

"I have a lot of admiration for everybody in the military," he said.

It's those military men and women, past, present and future he hopes to honor.

"I'm just another American trying to get by and I just hope everybody is as proud as the soldiers as I am."

Like many, the way he sees it, we live in the greatest country on Earth and his barn roof is a way to show it, even if it's only seen from above.

What's even more cool about this giant American flag, is that you can see it on Satellite photos.
