Woman Killed, 3-Year-old Critically Injured In Muskogee Crash

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA -- A Porter Woman is dead and a 3-year-old boy is critically injured after crash in Muskogee Saturday.

It happened at the intersection of County Road 640 and US Highway 69.

According to an accident report, 24-year-old Cassandra Jade Edgar was struck by an oncoming Jeep Cherokee on the driver's side when she failed to stop at the intersection.

Edgar was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital where she was pronounced dead. The 3-year-old passenger was taken by ambulance in critical condition.

A 52-year-old woman and two teenage girls traveling in the Jeep Cherokee were treated and released at a local hospital.

Troopers say Edgar was not wearing her seatbelt. All three passengers in the Cherokee were buckled.
