Owasso Marching Band Returns Home After Rose Bowl Parade

OWASSO, Oklahoma -- The Owasso High School Marching Band is back in the Sooner state after a trip to the Rose Bowl.

They returned Monday, from the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, California, held on New Year's Day.

Students say all the months of practice and lots of fundraising was worth it.

"Back then it was just a lot of work and such, didn't really know we'd have this much fun," said Kyle Synder, who plays the tuba. "Like going to Six Flags and all that stuff."

The band also got to have dinner on the Queen Mary and visit the Santa Monica Pier before heading back. The trip back was a long one, students rode on big Coach Buses to get to and from California.
