Giffords 'Well Liked' Oklahoma Congressman Says

TULSA, Oklahoma – Oklahoma Congressman, Republican John Sullivan, calls Congresswoman Giffords a friend.

The two were on the same flight Friday leaving Washington DC. News On 6 spoke with him on the phone Saturday.

"She is well liked in Congress on both sides of the isle. You know, she was just doing her job with constitutes in her district," he said.

"Unfortunately I think in this country, we kinda are at, politically, at a boiling point," he said. "We've all talked about this, this could happen someday and it has."

Congressman Sullivan said, given Saturday's tragedy, they'll likely have to re-think how they do things and take extra precautions.
