TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police are still trying to sort out the details of a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex late Thursday night.

Tulsa Police say a security guard, identified as 30-year-old Terrence Moses, noticed a suspicious SUV in the parking lot of the Silver Springs Apartments at 8503 East 63rd Street.

At 11:15 p.m. police says when Moses approached the SUV, the driver, identified as 25-year-old Christopher Smith, put the SUV in reverse and hit the security guard's vehicle.

The guard told officers that he felt he was in danger so he fired several rounds at the SUV driver's door.

Smith and one of his passengers, 23-year-old Lauren Gudgel, said they were startled when Moses approached their vehicle.  They didn't know Moses was a security guard.  They thought he was just a man with a gun.

Both Smith and Gudgel said Moses ordered them out of the SUV and pointed his gun at them. They told police Moses started shooting at them for no apparent reason.  Smith told police he backed into Moses' vehicle only after Moses began firing.

Smith was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  No one else was injured.

A third person who was in the back seat of the SUV ran from the scene after the shots were fired.

Tulsa Police say because of the conflicting stories and no independent witnesses no one has been arrested.  They say their investigation continues.
